Screenies MCP server / VS Code
App Store screenshots from VS Code
VS Code connects remote MCP servers for Copilot agent mode with full OAuth support. Note the config uses a top-level "servers" key, not "mcpServers".
Connect Screenies to VS Code
- Add Screenies to .vscode/mcp.json:
{ "servers": { "screenies": { "type": "http", "url": "https://screenies.app/mcp" } } } - Or run "MCP: Add Server" from the Command Palette, or from a shell:
code --add-mcp '{"name":"screenies","type":"http","url":"https://screenies.app/mcp"}' - Start the server from the mcp.json editor gutter and sign in when prompted.
The one-click install button below opens VS Code and writes the config for you; sign-in happens in the browser.
Add to VS CodeSign-in uses OAuth: VS Code opens a browser window where you log in to Screenies and approve the connection. No API keys, and you can revoke access anytime from your Screenies account settings. Reference: VS Code MCP docs.
