What screenshot sizes does the App Store require in 2026?

For iPhone apps, provide either a 6.9-inch set (1320 x 2868, 1290 x 2796, or 1260 x 2736 pixels in portrait) or a 6.5-inch set (1284 x 2778 or 1242 x 2688 pixels in portrait). If your app runs on iPad, one 13-inch set: 2064 x 2752 or 2048 x 2732 pixels. Apple scales these to all smaller displays.

How many App Store screenshots can I upload?

Between 1 and 10 per display size. Choose a clear first screenshot that introduces the app.

Do I need separate screenshots for every iPhone model?

No. Upload either a 6.9-inch or 6.5-inch set and App Store Connect scales it for smaller iPhones. Other iPhone display sets are optional.

The short answer

Rules that get sets rejected

JPEG or PNG only, and no alpha channel or transparency.
Exact pixel dimensions: App Store Connect rejects anything that is not on the accepted list for the display size.
1 to 10 screenshots per display size. When no app preview is available, the first 1 to 3 screenshots appear in search results, depending on orientation.
