Screenshot layout archetype
Multi-device collage
Adoption data from 1031 top-chart iOS apps analyzed in August 2026.
Definition
Two or more device mockups (or overlapping UI cards) arranged in one screenshot to show several screens at once. Across our corpus, 5% of analyzed screenshots use this layout.
How to use it
- Communicates breadth: many features, an ecosystem, or an iPhone plus watch or iPad story.
- Each screen becomes small, so lead with UI that reads at thumbnail size and let the headline name the theme.
- Floating card overlays (a widget, a notification) are a lighter-weight version of the same idea and are common across categories.
