Definition
A layout where one visual element (a device, illustration, or background) spans across two or more adjacent screenshots. Across our corpus, 0% of analyzed screenshots use this layout.
How to use it
- Rare in practice, which is exactly why it stands out when done well.
- It only pays off when viewers see the panels side by side: the App Store product page shows two to three portrait screenshots at once.
- Keep each panel self-sufficient: in search results panels can appear alone, so each one still needs a readable headline.
